FALLEN, 2018

FALLEN captures the fragile moment between movement and stillness — the instant when the body loses its balance and gravity takes over.

The figure appears suspended between falling and rising. Her body is fragmented into pale gestures, while the surrounding space dissolves into layers of white, grey and muted blue. There is no defined stage, no audience, and no clear point of arrival. Only the body, gravity, and the silence of the moment remain.

Rather than depicting a specific dancer, the work becomes a reflection on vulnerability, surrender, and transformation. Falling is not presented solely as an ending; it becomes a passage — a moment in which control is released and another state begins.

FALLEN was created in 2018 as an exploration of the human body as a trace of movement and emotion.

“To fall is not always to lose balance. Sometimes it is the beginning of letting go.”
